The Artist

Shot on location in Gower, this short follows a struggling artist preparing for an exhibition. The brief for this piece was to create a strong visual narrative with no dialogue or words on screen. Relying on visual storytelling alone, I wanted to touch on recognisable themes that would resonate with viewers such as family and nostalgia, as well as utilising the stunning Gower landscape to inspire the colour palette of the film.

The Rusty Fugue

A short film centred around the themes of  family, passion for music and small independent music venues shutting down in Wales. 'The Rusty Fugue' looks at two men and their desire to work in music vs the realism of their financial situations. Filmed all across Cardiff and Newport, we lit and shot the project to match the feelings of the characters, to highlight when they each felt hope or loneliness.

The Phobia Project

The project was inspired by a survey that was responded to by 65 people who have severe phobias. Using their words, we created a poem in both Welsh & English to accompany this abstract film which aims to be a sensory experience describing what having a phobia feels like. A more experimental project shot across Gloucester and Cardiff, we experimented visually to create an unnerving, dark and yet insightful look into phobias by working with those that experience them.
